DayGaps runs on Mac and iPhone. The Mac app is a direct download you can run today. The iPhone app is in private TestFlight, by invitation. Leave your iCloud email at the download and we will bring you into the phone beta too.

DayGaps for Mac
A signed, notarized direct download. On first launch macOS asks once to confirm an app downloaded from the internet: click Open. If it is ever refused, right-click the app and choose Open.
This is a release-candidate build of v1.0: the format is stable and DayGaps now runs the author’s actual daily plans. It syncs through your private iCloud zone, so signing into the same iCloud account on your other devices is the whole setup.
The iPhone beta
Want the iPhone beta too?
DayGaps for iPhone is invite-only through TestFlight. Leave your iCloud (Apple ID) email and we’ll send an invitation, and tell you when v1.0 ships. Nothing else, ever.
Once you are invited, install the TestFlight app from the App Store, sign in with the Apple ID you gave us, and tap Install next to DayGaps. The phone signs into your iCloud automatically and your data syncs from the Mac in the background, with no folder to pick.
What’s in this build
Version 1.0.2. A polish pass on the 1.0 release: dark and tinted app icons, one-tap subtask collapsing, and an AI bridge that now has its own Settings tab and points at your local protocol file. Universal Mac plus iPhone and iPad, syncing through your private iCloud zone. The full surface is on the changelog; the short version:
- Today, This Week, Deadlines, Anyday, Inbox, Areas, Projects, Settings, all native on iPhone.
- One gesture vocabulary across every list: tap for done, leading swipe for deadline, trailing swipe for reschedule, long-press for move.
- iCloud sync end to end, with a local cache for offline writes.
- Mac focus mode is a Pomodoro timer in the menu bar. iPhone focus mode is a visual filter on Today. (Different shapes for different surfaces.)
- An optional YAML bridge on Mac for a plaintext mirror of your data.
This is beta software. The format is stable, but TestFlight and a direct release candidate are the right venues for it until external review is done.
When v1.0 ships
DayGaps will be a one-time purchase on the App Store. All updates through the 1.x series are included, and there is no subscription. The launch opens at a reduced introductory price.
Beta testers will be the first to know; everyone else can watch this page or the changelog.
Known gaps
The roadmap is on the changelog page. Items still in flight:
- Some keyboard shortcuts are not yet wired into menu commands on Mac.
- Area deletion is intentionally restricted while the empty-only path is designed.
- iPhone drag-reorder on Today is parked while the swipe vocabulary settles.
What we’d love feedback on
- Does the two-mode framing (overview vs. focus) match the way you actually work?
- Anywhere the chrome feels too loud at rest?
- Anywhere a feature feels like more work than it saves?
- Sync timing across devices: does an edit on the Mac surface fast enough on the iPhone, and vice versa?
- Anywhere a Mac idiom leaked into the iPhone, or the iPhone idiom leaked back to the Mac?
