Privacy
Your data lives in your iCloud account. We never see it, collect it, or sell it, because there is nothing on our side to do any of that with.
This policy is short because the architecture makes it short. DayGaps has no servers, no accounts, and no analytics. Your data goes from your devices to your iCloud account and nowhere else. If you trust iCloud, you already trust everything this app touches.

Where your data lives
Your areas, projects, tasks, gaps, days, and inbox are stored in a private CloudKit zone inside your own iCloud account, plus a local cache on each of your devices so the app opens instantly and works offline. The data syncs between your devices through Apple’s iCloud infrastructure, governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
We operate no servers. There is no DayGaps account to create, no login, and no copy of your data anywhere we can reach. We cannot read your tasks, recover your data, or hand it to anyone else, because it never passes through us.
What we collect
Nothing. The app contains no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs that phone home. We do not know who uses the app, how often, or for what.
Permissions the app may ask for
Calendar access is optional. If you grant it, the app reads the calendars you choose, on-device, to show events alongside your gaps and to derive how long a gap can run. It never writes to your calendar. Event data is read for display and never leaves your device.
Notifications are optional. Gap reminders are local notifications, scheduled and delivered entirely on your device.
Sharing a project
If you share a project with someone, the shared portion of that project syncs between participants through iCloud’s sharing infrastructure. Only the people you invite can see it, and your personal scheduling stays on your side. We are not a party to the share and see none of it.
The AI bridge
The bridge writes a snapshot of your data to a folder on your Mac, at your request. What happens in that folder is up to you. If you hand the files to an AI assistant, that exchange happens under the assistant provider’s terms, not ours; the app itself transmits nothing.
Purchases and beta builds
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details and no identity beyond what Apple’s aggregate sales reporting includes. If you run a beta build through TestFlight, Apple may share with us the crash reports and the feedback you choose to send; that is TestFlight’s standard behavior and the only diagnostic channel we have.
If you write to support@daygaps.com, we see your email address and whatever you include, and we use it to reply. It is never shared or added to any list.
