Terms of Use

These terms are written in plain language because plain language is enforceable too. Using DayGaps means you accept them.

Effective June 2026.

The license

DayGaps is distributed through Apple’s App Store and licensed to you, not sold. Your use is governed by these terms together with Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. You may use the app on any devices that your Apple account and Apple’s rules allow.

Purchase and updates

DayGaps is a one-time purchase. There is no subscription, and all updates within the 1.x series are included. Payment, billing, and refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store’s terms; we never see your payment details.

Your data

Everything you put into the app is yours. We claim no rights over your content, and as described in the privacy policy, we never have access to it. Your data lives in your iCloud account, so its availability is tied to your Apple account and Apple’s iCloud terms.

You are responsible for your own backups. The app’s local cache, iCloud storage, and the optional YAML bridge each give you a copy of your data, and we encourage using them.

Acceptable use

Use the app lawfully. If you share a project with other people, you are responsible for what you put in front of them.

No warranty

The app is provided as-is. We work hard to make it reliable, and the support page is a real channel read by a real person, but we cannot promise the app will be free of defects or interruptions, and we disclaim implied warranties to the extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
